1st Prize in Petaluma (California)

"29th of February" wins Best of Fest

"We're excited to announce that the 2025 “Best of Fest” Audience Award goes to Diego Fandos’ dark comedy "29th of February" from Spain. The runner-up was Nick Russell’s Australian comedy "Favourites". Other notable audience picks included Mika Simmon’s UK drama "My Week with Maisy", Håkon Olavsen’s Norwegian rom-com "Superdupermegagigasingle", Ian Wexler’s "4th Dementia", and Kate Hamilton’s "How Did I Get Here".

The film screened last Saturday, May 3, on our Worlds Shorts Showcase. We were honored to have Diego Fandos in conversation at the screening. The film averaged a 4.68 out of 5, with hundreds of votes cast. The festival had record attendance this year"
